Famebit, the influencer marketplace that connects brands and Youtubers acquires influencer network Refame. Famebit has been growing its video influencer user base fast. In June 2014 they reported to TechCrunch that they had 3,000 Video Influencers on YouTube and 200 brands. In April of 2015 they reported 9,000 YouTubers and 1,250 brands! And now in May they are reporting over 10,000 subscribers.
Now with the purchase of Refame they will be able to help their brands expand to Instagram, Vine and Snapchat as that is the main focus on Refame. Refame creates short form videos on these social channels. How many influencers does refame have? They don’t say. But their website claims their influencer reach total is 40 million. FameBit’s now has a combined total of 450,000 million reach.
