Planning The Website Layout & Functionality
If you’ve been reading our portfolio, you’ve noticed that all our projects go through a planning phase. We worked with LKT Labs to plan their homepage, product page, and category page in a wireframe before we gave it to our graphic designers. Since most ecommerce websites have similar features, we wanted to focus the planning hours on the critical pages that convert customers into sales. Planning a website like this gives our customers an advantage because they can make revisions before it goes into coding and, therefore, it costs them less money to change.
News Updates For Search Engine Content
Content helps with any search engine optimization campaign, so we added an easy to administrate news section. The client can log into their admin area and update news articles about their company quickly without needing to contact WebBizIdeas.com. As these content rich articles get updated, they are indexed by search engines – helping increase SEO rankings for LKTlabs.com. The administrator also has the ability to feature articles on their homepage to help with their internal linking campaign.
Corporate Brand
LKT labs needed a website that displayed their corporate image correctly. Sticking with their white and blue color scheme, we made a very clean website showing what they do and allowing customers to order directly online. Keeping a professional look and feel was critical to their redesign because most of the orders placed online will be larger orders, and customers needed to feel safe went entering credit card information online.
Administrative Area
The client needed to be in control of their website’s products, orders, and content. The administrative area we set up allows LKT Labs to do all of that and more. The client can update products, categories, and make sure they are all search engine friendly. As orders come in the system, the admin can select what administrators will get notified and who can export the orders. The categories are all able to be edited as well. Giving the client full control over their website was essential to the success of LTKlabs.com.
Simple To Use Product Page
LKT Labs have over 2000 products and multiple size variations for each of those products. As you can imagine, keeping the navigation organized and the product page simple was crucial. We laid out a very simple product page so a customer could see all the options available and place the order easily. We also added a detailed description grid below the product image which has helped reduce product questions for LKTlabs.com.
