There is no doubt that content is king on the web today. You need to write the content for your website keeping in mind all the web content creation basics. Write it as per the needs of the web, search engines and the sophisticated algorithms being used by the main search engines, such as Google, Yahoo! and MSN.

Out of all content that you post on your site, the only content that is really king is original. This is the most basic and most crucial rule of web content creation that you must understand. There are many important factors in web content creation:

Content + Pictures:   Having only pictures, graphics, or sales promotions are not going to help your cause. Combining quality content & pictures will help you in the search engines.  When you write make sure you optimize each page with the correct keyword density and don't stufff alt tags.

Be Original:  The content on your website has to be original. This is content that either you have written yourself or have received permission to republish (i.e. – you own the copyright to it) on your website. If you have duplicated content on your website it will not help your Google ranking or give you any meaningful website promotion. Additionally, you can be penalized for it.

Constantly Updated: the content of your website should grow and change constantly. It should be added or updated on a daily or twice daily basis. Blogs and websites that are stagnant or dead with no updated content drop fast on search engine rankings. Websites call for regular work and care. Content is the main area where you need to work regularly.  Press releases and article campaigns are an effective way to keep the content changing.

Relevant Keywords: Search engines look for content that has relevant keywords. Some advanced search engines have developed advanced and sophisticated algorithms to verify their content. To see if the website’s content is unique and original, they analyze a web page multiple ways.  Instead of stressing out on the keyword density of your page just focus on writing orginal content and keep the density around 1% - 3%.

Private Label Articles: There are some very easy, free sources for content, which you can use for your website. These are article directories and private label rights (PLR articles). The private label rights articles allow you to put your name on the content as the author. WebBizIdeas DOES NOT recommend using PLR because you are not publshing unique content.  It would be better to publish one unique page of content then 100 PLR articles.
